MEET VOCALIST, GUITAR & HARMONICA PLAYER,
and BAND LEADER:
from Visalia, California
Mike Wilson became interested in music when the Beatles conquered America in 1964. He joined his first band the following year, and gigged sporadically in the 1960's as a drummer for local garage and high school bands.
He switched to guitar in 1971, and by the end of 1972 he was playing local coffee houses and nightclubs and was earning enough money to pay for most of his college expenses. After graduating from college, he played in several other bands in Central California, mostly with the incredibly successful band, "Thin Ice." He performed throughout California, and he was the only West Coast musician chosen by NBC to perform in the pre-game show at Super Bowl XXIII in Miami.
He founded the band in 1994 and has been its bandleader since its inception. He plays rhythm guitar, harmonica, and is one of the lead vocalists.
